FREE Game of Thrones Cross Stitch Patterns

Game of Thrones fan? Loving House of the Dragon? Me. Too. I have created TWO Free Game of Thrones Cross Stitch Patterns, including the main sigils (I haven’t charted all of the others, but maybe one day), from Game of Thrones.

I closed my etsy store some time ago, so am sharing these here for FREE. Enjoy!

Game of Thrones Sigils – Cross Stitch Chart

The first is a straight forward and EASY pattern, you can stitch in one colour, variegated thread, or multiple colours if you prefer!

Stitching Instructions

Thread DMC 310 black (3595 stitches, 1.5 skeins)

Stitched Size

14 Count Stitched Area 60cm x 54cm or 23.5″ x 2.25 “
16 Count Stitched Area 52.4cm x 4.8cm or 20.75″ x 1.75″
18 Count Stitched Area 46.6cm x 4.2cm or 18.25″ x 1.75″
20 Count Stitched Area 41.9cm x 3.8cm or 16.5″ x 1.5″

*Remember to leave enough fabric for framing – at least 2 – 3 Inches bigger on all sides than the frame size you choose.

A few Stitching Tips:

Remember to wash your hands before you stitch.
If you’re new to cross-stitch there are many useful how-to guides and instructions both online and in books. If you have any queries regarding this pattern, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Before you begin, find your centre… It’s easiest to stitch from the middle to the outside – this way you can be sure you’ll have enough fabric space.

Fold the fabric in quarters and mark that middle stitch… then use the grid lines marked on the pattern to correspond with the centre on your fabric.

If you’re working with any fabric with raw edges, I recommend fray stop or similar products. You just squeeze a little around all edges and it stops the fraying. A quick zig-zag stitch on your sewing machine works too!

Game of Thrones Biscornu Pin Cushion Cross Stitch Pattern

I made this as a gift for a Craft Swap I participated in, and I had never assembled a Biscornu Pincushion before, but I am pretty happy with the result. If you’re good at sewing things together, I assure you, yours will turn out better than mine!

Stitching Instructions

Feel free to choose colours of your own when stitching this free Game of Thrones Cross Stitch Pattern – but these are the ones I used:

DMC-676, DMC-435, DMC-898, DMC-3828, DMC-610
Two buttons are also required, as well as a small amount of stuffing for the cushion.

Stitched Size:

Stitched area of each square (2 squares are required)

*Remember to allow room for joining the sides together.
14 Count 6″ or 15cm (eg – fabric required per square will be 10″ square or 25cm square to include space to stitch sides together)
16 Count 5″ or 13cm
18 Count 4.5″ or 12cm
20 Count 4′ or 10cm
