About Me
This blog is written purely for the love of travel. I don't use affiliate links and I'm not paid to recommend anything - just sharing what I actually did and what I genuinely think.
Hi, I’m Leila, and this is a little about me.
Travel isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s been my career since I was a teenager. Long before travel blogs or social media, I was already working in travel, immersed in it day to day. All these years later, I still genuinely enjoy the researching, planning and booking side of travel… almost as much as the journey itself. Almost.
“Let’s Go See It All” reflects my belief that travel is about curiosity, exploration and making the most of the world around us – in whatever way that looks like for you.
“Earthling Experiences” is the quieter part of that idea, a reminder that at the end of the day, we’re all just people sharing the same planet, experiencing it in different ways.
Outside of travel, I’m a mother, a wife, an amateur photographer, wildlife and animal lover, art and craft devotee, home‑cooking enthusiast, occasional gardener, nature‑lover and proud earth‑hugger. Many of these interests naturally influence how and where I travel, from the destinations I choose to the experiences I value most.
I was born in South Australia to immigrant parents, and grew up in a multicultural household – an upbringing that made international travel feel familiar from an early age. In the 1990s, our family relocated to Queensland, where I’ve lived ever since. I now call the Darling Downs region home, which suits my love of space, nature and a more grounded pace of life.
My first overseas holiday was a P&O cruise from Sydney to the Pacific Islands with my parents and siblings, aboard Fairstar, the Fun Ship (yes, I’m showing my age). Then came a family journey through Singapore, Egypt and Lebanon. Those early trips shaped both my curiosity about the world and my understanding of how powerful travel can be at a young age, and they played a big part in cementing my path into the travel industry.

Today, I work as a Travel Consultant with Cruiseabout, and it’s a role I LOVE because it allows me to spend time talking through options with travellers and helping them find a cruise or holiday that actually suits them. With so many ships, itineraries and styles available, a cruise can look perfect on paper but feel very different in reality. Being able to help people navigate that and choose something that truly fits is what I enjoy most about the job.
Travel has been a constant in my life, which has meant travelling through many different phases. I’ve travelled with my children as babies, toddlers, tweens and teenagers, and we’ve experienced travel in lots of forms too. From coach tours, cruises, self‑drive trips and city stays. We’ve travelled on a budget, and we’ve also chosen more luxurious experiences. Living travel in these different ways has shaped how I listen when someone talks about the kind of holiday or experience they want, and what they actually need from it.
Working in the travel industry for so long has reinforced how important honest information, thoughtful planning and realistic expectations really are.
Let’s Go See It All is where I share my experiences – through travel tips, itineraries, cruise reviews, destination guides, photographs and the occasional recipe or hobby picked up along the way. It’s built around real travel experiences, practical planning, and the kind of detail I always look for when researching a trip myself.
If you’d like to talk through a cruise or travel idea, you can contact me directly. I work with Australian travellers as a Travel Consultant with Cruiseabout, which is part of the Flight Centre Travel Group.
